President-elect Barack Obama has named Carol M. Browner, a former member of the NBA Board of Directors, to the new position of Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change. Dubbed the nation’s new “energy czar,” Browner will coordinate environmental, energy, climate and related matters for the federal government.  She has been serving on the Obama transition team.

Administrator of the U.S. EPA during the Clinton administration, Browner is a founding member of The Albright Group LLC, a “global strategy group” headed by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. As a principal at the firm, Browner provided strategic counsel in the areas of environmental protection, climate change, and conservation and security.

Bruce Rasher, a member of the NBA Board with over 30 years of commercial real estate experience, has been tapped to spearhead the CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc.(CBRE) Asset Repositioning Management (ARM) practice group within its Global Corporate Services line of business. Read more.
