Candidates MUST have experience on projects involving offshore structures. Candidates should also have familiarity with National and International Codes (ABS, API, IMO, etc) and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities. Environmental Scientist Category: Engineering Type: Description: A well-established environmental firm is seeking an Environmental Scientist for their Laurel, MD office. Primary responsibilities will include the review and preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Evaluations and Section 106 Evaluations for the applicable State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for proposed and existing cellular antenna sites. Responsibilities will also include field work, research, interviews, and writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). Candidates should be prepared for professional growth into such areas as Phase II ESAs, regulatory interaction, Brownfields redevelopment, vapor intrusion, site remediation, asbestos/lead based paint surveys, and project management.

Successful candidates MUST have:

• BS Degree in environmental science/geology/engineering or related field
• NEPA and SHPO/Section 106 experience
• Phase I ESA experience
• Excellent writing, communication, organizational, and project tracking skills
• Soil/groundwater sampling and other Phase II ESA experience a plus

Salary range: $35K-$40K
