John Sankey
Events Subcommittee Co-Chair for BC

John Sankey is the Events Subcommittee Co-Chair for the British Columbia Chapter of the National Brownfield Association.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and further training in Physical Hydrogeology from the Environmental Engineering Department at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, the Princeton Groundwater Pollution and Hydrology Course, and University of Waterloo DNAPL course. He is licensed as an engineer by the Association of Professional Engineers of the Province of Ontario. John is a member of the Groundwater Resources Association of California and the National Ground Water Association. In addition to his active involvement with NBA, John sits on the steering committee for the High Resolution Site Characterization & Monitoring Symposium, which focuses on monitoring groundwater so that in situ remediation is better planned.

He has been in the groundwater environmental industry for more than 15 years and in 2003 started True Blue Technologies Inc., a business dedicated to providing engineering, technical support and business development for technologies in groundwater remediation and characterization. In his spare time, John runs of small adult co-ed hockey league and sits on the board of directors of Disabled Skiing Association of BC.
